5) AirBnB

AirBnB is a website where landlords can list their properties for prospective renters looking for temporary vacation housing. These properties can range from private rooms to entire houses and even to couches on which travelers can crash for the night for about $10! AirBnB also pays you $20 per person you refer to the website who books a reservation.

If you're just getting started with email marketing, AirBnB is a great introduction to the practice. My method for getting referrals is to take listings from AirBnB and re-list them on Craigslist in the vacation rentals section. In my Craigslist ad, I write "contact me at (gmail address) for information about renting." AirBnB gives you $20 worth of free travel credit just for joining through someone
else's referral link, so I configure my gmail account to reply with an automated message telling people that the property they saw on Craigslist is being listed through AirBnB, and they'll get a good deal of $25 off on their first night of they decide to book. In addition to a potentially great commission, I also get email addresses which I can add to my list for further uses down the road.

4) Points2Shop

Remember earlier how I was talking about "sketchy 'do surveys for points and earn "free rewards" websites? Well, Points2Shop pretty much fits into this category (minus the sketchy part!). I've personally had a very good experience with Points2Shop ever since I created an account back in 9th grade, and have had several CDs and video game giftcards mailed to me. However, Points2Shop also
has one of the best referral systems I've ever seen. In addition to paying upwards of $1.50 per person you refer, Points2Shop has a referral guide which teacher you everything from setting up primary hubs to satellite pages in learning to be an affiliate marketer. If you're going to start on your journey to the freedom and lifestyle of passive income, there is probably no better place to start than Points2Shop.

Now, earning passive income is simply one stage in the beautiful process of becoming independent from anyone but yourself. In my knowledge of affiliate marketing, the single best earning method in this industry is email marketing. Email marketing is the process of gathering a list of email addresses, and sending out emails to everyone in your list, encouraging them to either buy a product you're selling, or join a website with your referral link. One of the best training grounds for this type of marketing is (surprisingly!)...

3) Swagbucks

What if I told you that I know of a website where you literally get paid to make Google searches? Okay, you technically don't use Google to make the searches, (you actually use the Swagbucks search engine itself) but the idea is still the same. You basically use Swagbucks like you would use Google/Yahoo, and every time you make a search with their search engine, you have a chance of
randomly earning 'SB,' which are virtual points which I frequently redeem for PayPal credit. Sound good? It gets even better. Swagbucks has a nice referral program where you get paid a bonus of 15% of whatever person you send to Swagbucks makes. Once you generate a large referral pool like I have, you'll frequently find that you've had $350-300 worth of SB deposited into your Swagbucks account just for accidentally winning one of their contests!

Now, while we're on the subject of passive income, we can begin to change the way we look at websites like Swagbucks and Vindale Research. When you send 'referrals' to a website, you're actually participating in something called 'affiliate marketing.' Affiliate Marketing is a sales system where you, as the affiliate, get a commission (or payment) for each "conversion (i.e. person sent to a website, sale you make, etc.) that you make. Once we begin to see websites as potential affiliate marketing EMPLOYERS, the game changes significantly. In order to learn how to effectively send large numbers of people to our 'employers,' we're going to need some training, and in my affiliate-marketing experience, no website has proved itself to be a better training ground for this industry than.

2) Vindale Research

Upon first inspection, Vindale probably looks like one of those sketchy "do surveys for points and earn 'free' rewards" websites, but it's actually a much more sophisticated, Better Bossiness Bureau-Accredited company with a history of high and reliable payouts. When I choose to work for Vindale as a study participant, I easily make around $30 an hour by completing their surveys which, by the
way, are actual question/answer-based research studies, not sketchy 'offers' where you have to give out your email address and sign up for websites you don't even care about. Vindale Research pays very nicely when compared to other 'survey' sites, with several of their studies paying $4 for about 10 minutes of work. You can honestly make more money per hour doing this than you could from a minimum wage part-time job, and some studies can be completed 10+ times per day, making the work easy and mindless.

Whenever I need funds or "emergency cash," Vindale is always there offering me work which I can complete whenever I want to. But what if I want to earn practically on autopilot during my free time, even when I'm not actually technically "working?" Now we're talking about the world of "passive income," or money that gets deposited into my pocket without me having to physically work for it, and no site currently fulfills this purpose better for me than.

1) Usertesting

Perhaps my most lucrative online cash generator to date. On average, I make about $100-150 a week from these guys. Usertesting is a usability-testing service where you (as the tester) make videos of your screen while actively testing out someone's website or mobile app, and for each video you make,
Usertesting pays you $10-15. I easily get 6-10 opportunities to make one of these videos per day, and they take about 10 minutes to complete a piece. This website is free to join, and whenever Usertesting has a test for you to do, they'll make a chime sound on their dashboard. It pays about as much as a part-time job from my experience, and you get to play lots of online games for good pay. It's a blast!

Now obviously, Usertesting is a wonderful addition to my assets, but the main problem with Usertesting is reliability. I only get paid when Usertesting actually has tests for me to do, so when I need funds immediately, my next most stable online cash generator is.
